Ahmad Goheer
Biography
Dr Ahmad Goheer is a Lecturer (Teaching) in Information Management and Data Science in the UCL Department of Information Studies. He teaches across the UCL School of Management’s flagship undergraduate programme, Information Management for Business (IMB), and the Department of Information Studies’ MSc Knowledge, Information and Data Science (KIDS). He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at UCL School of Management where he teaches on the MSc Marketing Science programme.
Before joining academia, Ahmad spent over three decades in industry across technology, management consulting and finance, including senior roles at IBM, Capgemini and Merrill Lynch. This experience informs his emphasis on professional practice, robust data foundations, and the organisational realities of building and using data systems at scale. He holds a PhD in Strategic Management (Paris), an MBA in International Management (London), a Master’s in Information Technology (Sydney), and a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science (USA). He is also a UCL alumnus.
He welcomes dissertation supervision in areas including data management and information systems, applied analytics and visualisation, knowledge representation, organisational adoption of AI and data-driven practices, and change management and strategy in data-driven organisations.
