What Our Students Say
“The Careers Service at the School of Management has supported me with CV reviews and interview preparation, which boosted my confidence when speaking with employers. I have gained professional experience expanding my family’s business in strategy and finance, worked as a strategy and finance analyst for a construction company, completed a banking rotation at Habib Bank AG Zurich across six departments, and now lead valuations at Cascade Research, where I analyse companies and share investment insights.” - Kumar Abishek, MSc Management (Finance Pathway)
“The careers support has also been a standout. From CV reviews to employer events, I’ve had direct access to resources that keep me focused on my professional development. These have complemented the hands-on experience I’ve gained through roles like being a UCL Campus Ambassador and Sustainability Ambassador.” - Thasmitha Varathanathan, MSc Management (Corporate Pathway)
“I’ve used the School of Management’s Careers Service for CV reviews and networking events, which I found immensely helpful for my professional journey. I am proud to say that I interned at Clear, a Y Combinator-backed startup, where I worked directly under Ahana Banerjee (Forbes 30 Under 30) on strategy and operations!” - Divyam Thapiyal, MSc Business Analytics
“The careers services at the School of Management are formidable. At the IMB programme, we have our designated careers consultant who can be seen in person or via virtual appointments. When I had felt unsure of what to do during the summer, I had been pointed towards various resources available as well as alumni to engage with in my desired sectors of consulting and aviation.” - Ines Aissi, BSc Information Management for Business
“I have attended sessions on CVs, cover letters and how to prepare for spring weeks in year one, as well as careers networking events with Checkout.com, Amazon/AWS, and Tata Consultancy Services. I can definitely say these visits have been useful, as I ended up getting an internship at TCS as a result of the networking opportunities organised by the UCL School of Management.” - Rayaan Kaderia, BSc/MSci Management Science
